Title: Kill your darlings

Title II: Distance yourself from the things you love.

Material: Chandelier made from old barbie dolls and discarded ship parts. (Air filter, handlebar, steering wheel) butchers rope, meat hooks.

Description: We live in a throw-away society. People and things are constantly exchanged/discarded for a new or better version. We swipe our way and are never satisfied with what we have.. There is always something better or more beautiful on the horizon. My work is about the role of women as an object of pleasure and as a tool in a disposable consumer society. By processing the dolls in a chandelier, the toys get a second life and I also question the abuse and exploitation of women.
